Being part of the flotilla is a privilege. To be counted among those who physically bring attention to the risk, the waste and the down side of the nuclear industry.

I am a sailor, my Eco tourism business focuses on a living marine environment already complicated because of on going misjudgements by those who claim the mandate of management. I take further risks to an already degraded environment seriously and I am totally committed to a nuclear free New Zealand. The flotilla may be able to inspire people to take the time to look at what plutonium shipments could, and probably eventually will, mean to the environment.

I intend to use the time at sea as an opportunity to observe whales and other 'mega-fauna' and Polynesian navigation. It is an opportunity for my regular crew to enjoy a blue water sailing first hand. We are looking forward to the experience.

The more people think about the dangers here, the more likely that plutonium shipments will be stopped and the risks to the seas lessened.
